Extension Terms of Service

Welcome to the Rock Paper Scissors Championship League! Twitch Extension (the "Extension"), designed, engineered, and operated by Canon Evnt, LLC ("Canon Evnt", "we", "us", or "our"). These Extension Terms of Service ("Extension Terms") govern your access to and use of the Extension across all supported Twitch channels and views (including Viewer Panel 1, Broadcaster Dashboard, and Stream Overlays).

1. Nature of the Service & Core Architecture

The Extension is an interactive, digital engagement application integrated into Twitch. It allows Twitch viewers to engage in asynchronous, digital card battles of Rock, Paper, Scissors against pre-queued broadcaster moves, earn digital Prestige Points on match victories, inspect seasonal statistics, and participate in platform-wide leaderboard rankings.

• Viewer Panel View (Twitch Panel 1): The primary interactive interface where viewers select moves, initiate Bits-powered challenges, view live match animations via the BattleClashOverlay system, and inspect Season 1 leaderboards.
• Broadcaster Dashboard (Config View): The administrative interface allowing broadcasters to pre-stage up to 10 moves into an asynchronous FIFO queue, customize base Bits tier floors, toggle subscriber-only requirements, and inspect host defense records.
• Optional OBS Broadcast Overlay: A transparent 1080p Browser Source overlay that renders synchronized 3-second countdowns and clash animations on broadcast feeds via sub-10ms Server-Sent Events (SSE).
• Extension Backend Service (EBS): Serverless Google Cloud microservices that validate Twitch JWTs, process atomic match resolutions, enforce fair play rules, and record audit transactions.

2. Bits in Extensions & Acceptable Use Policy

The Extension integrates with Twitch Bits via the official Twitch Extension Helper SDK (window.Twitch.ext.bits.useBits). Your use of Bits within the Extension is strictly governed by the following compliance ground rules:

A. Bits as Digital Content Only

In full compliance with Twitch's Bits Acceptable Use Policy, Bits are digital content (animated emoticons) purchased on Twitch. Within this Extension, Bits are used exclusively to unlock an interactive digital experience and animation on Twitch (Twitch Extension Guidelines 6.1.2). Bits do not have monetary value, do not earn interest, and do not serve as real currency, money instruments, or deposits.

B. Non-Monetary Digital Prestige Points

Every completed cheer challenge awards digital Prestige Points at a guaranteed 1:1 ratio per Bit cheered in the selected Tier (e.g., initiating a 500 Bits Champion match awards +500 digital Prestige Points directly into seasonal leaderboard standing upon clash resolution, regardless of whether the match results in a win, loss, or draw). Prestige Points, leaderboard ranks, in-panel badges, and match states are strictly non-monetary digital achievements. They cannot be exchanged, cashed out, bartered, or redeemed for fiat currency, cryptocurrencies, NFTs, physical goods, subscriptions, channel VIP statuses, or off-site items of value.

C. Absolute Prohibition of Wagering, Betting & Gambling

In strict adherence to Twitch Extension Guidelines 6.2.3 and 6.2.6, the Extension does not contain or facilitate gambling, sports betting, wagering, sweepstakes, or contests of chance for monetary rewards. Users do not wager Bits to win additional Bits, cash, or real-world prizes. Match resolutions simply provide an entertaining digital battle animation and leaderboard prestige score.

D. Distinction from Financial Donations & Chat Cheers

In accordance with Twitch Extension Guidelines 6.4 and 6.5, the use of Bits within the Extension is a digital in-extension interaction and is not native chat "cheering", nor is it a financial "donation", "tip", or monetary support. Bits transactions in the Extension are handled entirely through Twitch's secure Bits in Extensions commerce pipeline.

3. Gameplay Rules, Public Leaderboards & Fair Play

To ensure a reliable and authentic competitive environment, the Extension enforces strict algorithmic and cryptographic safeguards:

• Asynchronous FIFO Match Queue: Broadcasters manually select and pre-stage moves in advance into a dedicated FIFO queue (strictly capped at 10 matches). When a viewer initiates a match, the EBS atomically pops the oldest queued move using transactional database writes. If the queue is empty, the EBS falls back to randomized server-side choices.
• Cryptographic JWT Verification: All incoming requests to the EBS are verified against Twitch's HMAC-SHA256 signature secret (TWITCH_SECRET) ensuring caller identity, channel ID, and role authenticity.
• Anti-Self-Play Protection: Broadcasters are technically blocked from initiating Bits challenges against their own channels.
• Public Leaderboard Standing & Match Visibility: By initiating a match challenge using Bits, you acknowledge that your public Twitch Display Name, earned digital Prestige Points, rank, and match clash outcomes are published on in-extension leaderboards, on-stream broadcast overlays, and the official companion web leaderboard at canonevnt.io.
• Fair Play, Anti-Rigging & Community Sanctions: Any attempt by broadcasters or viewers to collude, manipulate, bot, exploit software bugs, or rig match outcomes to artificially inflate leaderboard standings or Prestige Points is strictly prohibited. Canon Evnt reserves the unilateral right to reset points, invalidate match records, and permanently ban offending Twitch accounts or channels from accessing the Extension and public leaderboards.
• Seasonal Resets & Lifetime Records: The Extension operates on a seasonal structure (Season 1 Arena Clash). When a new season begins, seasonal leaderboards reset while permanent lifetime statistics (lifetimeStats) are permanently preserved.
• Single-Slot Platform Notice: Because Twitch enforces a single active slot constraint for Extension Overlays, the Extension's broadcast overlay operates strictly as an independent OBS Browser Source so as never to deactivate the mandatory Viewer Panel 1 slot.

4. Broadcaster Controls & Moderation Responsibilities

Broadcasters installing the Extension maintain direct control over their channel settings:

• Broadcasters can set the minimum base Tier floor (from 50 Bits up to 10,000 Bits) to match their community preferences.
• Broadcasters can toggle subscriber-only gating to reserve match interactions for channel subscribers.
• Broadcasters have the unilateral right to clear their active move queue or deactivate the Extension from their channel at any time.

5. Intellectual Property & Brand Rights

The Extension software, vector emblems, Battle Clash animation engine, user interface styles, and backend microservices are the intellectual property of Canon Evnt, LLC. Broadcaster logos and Twitch trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. You agree not to copy, reverse-engineer, decompile, or exploit the Extension code without explicit authorization.

6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. CANON EVNT MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING SYSTEM UPTIME, INTERNET LATENCY, TWITCH API AVAILABILITY, OR ERROR-FREE PERFORMANCE. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CANON EVNT, LLC BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE EXTENSION.

7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Extension Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal claims or actions arising out of these terms shall be filed in the state or federal courts located in Florida, USA.

We may update these Extension Terms periodically to maintain compliance with updated Twitch guidelines or platform enhancements. Continued use of the Extension following the posting of updated terms constitutes acceptance.
